I feel Volunteer Firefighters are special and unselfish individuals and more awareness must be made publicly. Some LSDs could use more volunteers. A method of awareness and up the numbers of volunteer Firefighters, would be to have all Municipal and /or LSD Fire Depts compile a list of qualified volunteer Firefighters in their Dept, who can obtain Volunteer Firefighter License Plates, and submit to the NBAFC by the 15th of each month (nbafc@nb.sympatico.ca). The visibility of these plates would create questions and raise awareness of the Volunteer Firefighter, thus building the numbers. Hats off to the special and unselfish individuals ...GO FIREFIGHTERS!!
